Burness Paull has strengthened its planning and environment team with the appointment of a new partner as the firm experiences growing demand for specialist planning advice, particularly from the renewable 能源 and real estate sectors.
Emma Paton brings considerable experience of contentious and non-contentious planning and environmental work, including consenting advisory, 合同谈判, planning aspects of due diligence, public inquiries and appeals.
Her expertise is cross-sector with a strong focus on the renewable 能源 industry, having advised extensively on onshore renewable generation technologies and offshore wind developments across the UK. She has also spent time on secondment with the renewables arms of two major UK 能源 companies and the Scottish Government’s Energy Consent Unit as their technical manager, delivering on strategic projects.
